SoundCartel - rebrand, website redesign and build

SoundCartel (previously known as Business Essentials Media Production) has engaged Contactpoint for website and digital marketing services over the last 7 years. Recently, they approached Contactpoint with a challenge: how does a pioneer in the podcast space rebrand to position themselves as a modern, creative podcast agency after 36 years in audio content?
Armed with a fresh new name and brand identity, SoundCartel was born, and Contactpoint was engaged to design and deliver a new website that positions Nick and the team as leaders in their field.
After identifying personas they wanted to appeal to, the new website was designed to showcase their vast history of work, refresh their in-house Podcasting Essentials podcast, and their Podcasting Insights blog.
From design to core messaging, Contactpoint worked alongside SoundCartel to restructure their position, taking the focus from their recording facilities and history to highlighting the high calibre work and prestigious clients for whom they have produced podcasts. Every page features a prominent call to action, encouraging visitors to take action.
The Work area of the new website was designed to allow the visitor to browse through previously produced podcasts, and read the case study rationales from SoundCartel. This is all easily added by SoundCartel via the site admin. Similarly, structured pages for blogs and the SoundCartel own podcast allows the team to update the site as they wish while maintaining design integrity.
The site was launched on 6 May, 2020 and instantly brought positive feedback from SoundCartel's clients and network. In fact, on the first day of the new site, they received a call from a new lead saying that the website had convinced them to change their initial plan and contact SoundCartel for a new podcast instead!
We loved the opportunity to work with SoundCartel on their new website and look forward to seeing it further solidify their position in the marketplace.
It was quite a journey with a rebrand in the middle, but it was actually the push from Contactpoint that helped us commit to the rebrand. Their understanding of what we needed and the ability to implement it so proficiently has resulted in a website that is visually FANTASTIC and already delivering results.
