Delivering customer value via Apps

Your mobile app must work across a wide range of platforms, deliver unique value to users, and provide a wow experience.

Video Map Overlay App

Video Map Overlay proof of concept app

It has been our great pleasure to build a proof of concept “Video Map Overlay” smartphone app.  Although the cross-platform app was primarily developed in Ionic, we needed to develop certain functions as native components to ensure that appropriate video resolution was achieved, and control of the video process was accessible via the app for both Android and Apple (iOS) operating systems.

The app is currently available for download from iTunes and will soon be available via the Google Play Store.

The Video Map Overlay app (VMO for short) is designed to help field workers streamline capturing video evidence of their work to demonstrate safety and compliance obligations.

The app allows users to record videos with overlays to create a defendable record (a map location, compass direction, distance travelled, latitude, and longitude). The video, along with its meta information, can also be easily exported for compliance records, or further analysis.

To read more about the app, visit the VideoMapOverlay website.

Over the next few months, user feedback will be gathered to help shape a full-featured platform. We look forward to the next stage in this journey.

‘As non-app developers, it was an incredible experience collaborating with the Contactpoint team to bring our idea to life. Their commitment to problem-solving and responsiveness to feedback resulted in an outstanding proof-of-concept app.’
